Avery Scribes is currently searching for pre-health students who are eager to gain valuable patient care experience by working one-on-one with physicians in the Greater Atlanta area.  A position with Avery Scribes exposes pre-health students to the medical field, allowing them to develop an extensive medical knowledge base prior to entry into professional schools. Most of our employees go on to become physicians, PAs, NPs, RNs and many other medical professionals.

 

What the job entails:

  • Documenting the history, physical exam, labs/ radiology studies, medications, and diagnoses into the electronic medical record
  • Observe and document procedures
  • Facilitate and document consultations between physicians
  • Act as personal secretary to one physician

 

What Avery Scribes requires in our employees:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Some medical exposure is preferred but not required

 

For those students who are interested in pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant, Medical Scribe hours count as Clinical Experience for most PA programs.  We also offer a variety of employment types that offer very flexible scheduling for busy students.
