Little Medical School Teaching Opportunities

The following message is on behalf of Amit Choksi, Program Director of Little Medical School.

Little Medical School is seeking undergraduate students with an ability to make the class engaging (fun and interactive), manage the classroom (must like kids!!!), be on time, be courteous, friendly and enthusiastic!

Little Medical School is a mobile business based in Atlanta, so students would be traveling around the Metro Atlanta area. Corporate headquarters is in St. Louis. The schools that need teachers are located in Sandy Springs, Chamblee, Dunwoody and Marietta schools.

The curriculum is basic for any student enrolled in health professions (i.e. teaching children how to take blood pressure, teaching first aid, teaching students about different organs) targeted towards elementary aged children. All the instructor materials are provided including YouTube videos and students will have a training session before their 1st class.

  • The hours are flexible! Students can work as little as 1.5 hours weekly to as often as 1-2 hours daily!
  • Transportation is a must have.
  • Pay rate: $13/hour-$15/hour

Value:

Students are exposing children to a career in health care.

As is well established, students learn material best by teaching others and practicing.  As students teach children Little Medical School curriculum, the students will be more prepared for their own fields and this experience may even spark an interest in academic career path!

Students will gain valuable public speaking experience to a different audience including both elementary aged children and their parents (during graduation ceremonies).
